Will brokenhearted mom Cindy Sheehan be arrested tomorrow?

I know I swore off news and politics, but everytime I hear about Cindy Sheehan, I cry. I wonder if everyone is aware of her story, her desire to talk to President Bush, and her need for answers.

She seems to epitomize for many the pain this war has caused for Iraqis, Americans and many others. Is the cost worth it? “It” being whatever the real reason was for going to war. I’m sure no one is sorry Saddam was captured, but I think that’s beside the point. The cost in human life seems far too high.

Mr. President, Cindy Sheehan still wants to know why her son died. Perhaps what she needs more than that, which perhaps you don’t know either, is some expression of genuine compassion and respect for—as well as a desire to prevent more—loss of life. All life, not just American. War is a last, last, LAST resort.

  1. I fear the only thing George W Bush knows about respect for human life is what his handlers tell him to say. His invasion of Iraq proves for the ten thousandth time what most know, that war solves nothing and is to be resorted to only in defense, when all else has failed. And even then, even when necessary, it is a horror.
