My Top Ten Reads of 2001
The total number of books I read in 2001 is disappointingly small, since I have little free time these days. However, it’s rich in good reading.
My top 10 mystery reads for 2001 (in alphabetical order by author):
Canis by Robert E. Armstrong
Beacon Street Mourning by Dianne Day
The Strange Files of Fremont Jones by Dianne Day
Murder In Pastel by Colin Dunne
Dead Cert by Dick Francis (old, I know, but I just read it, and loved it!)
In the Presence of the Enemy by Elizabeth George
In Pursuit of the Proper Sinner by Elizabeth George
Listen to the Shadows by Joan Hall Hovey
To Wear the White Cloak by Sharan Newman (the characters stayed with me)
He Shall Thunder in the Sky by Elizabeth Peters (fun characters!)
Not a mystery, but too good not to mention:
The Language of Threads by Gail Tsukiyama
For the writer:
Writing the Mystery by G. Miki Hayden
I read a lot, but haven’t read anything on your list. I think I’ll make a note of the books, and give one or two a try.
Thanks,
Cas
and have a great day.
